Missed me? RL caught up with me and I needed time to get myself up again (not quite there yet, but I will be).

Thanks for all your comments! Nice to see old friends checking in on my page – it brings back memories Wink

Found this one on Youtube – simply love it!

BABYSOKKER

Gammel oppskrift, strikkes med Baby-ull og pinne nr. 2 1/2
Begynner med foten.

Legg opp 55 m. Strikk 4 pinner rett.
5. pinne: strikk 27m, legg ut 1m, strikk 1m, legg ut 1m, strikk 27m
6. pinne: rett
7. pinne: strikk 27m, legg ut 1m, strikk 3m, legg ut 1m, strikk 27m
8. pinne: rett
9. pinne: strikk 27m, legg ut 1m, strikk 5m, legg ut 1m, strikk 27m
10. pinne: rett
11. pinne: strikk 27m, legg ut 1m, strikk 7m, legg ut 1m, strikk 27m
12. pinne: rett
13. pinne: strikk 27m, legg ut 1m, strikk 9m, legg ut 1m, strikk 27m
14. pinne: rett
15. pinne: strikk 27m, legg ut 1m, strikk 11m, legg ut 1m, strikk 27m
Det er nå 67m på pinnen. Strikk 4 pinner rett.
Strikk 5 pinner glattstrikk. Skift til perlestrikk (1r, 1vr over 1vr, 1r), strikk 10 pinner. Fell av på vrangen.
Sy sammen og sett sløyfebånd i hullene, eller tvinn en tråd av garnet.

Legger ved et bilde (jeg puttet sokken i skanneren) slik den ser ut før den er sydd sammen

Baby bootie

Yarn to match US needle 1 or 2 – US 13 or 12 (Norwegian needles 2 1/2 is the one inbetween these sizes). I’ve used Dale Baby ull (baby wool) (try knitting them in alpaca!)

Cast on 55 sts.

  • 1)      K

  • 2)      K

  • 3)      K

  • 4)      K

  • 5)      K 26, add a stich in the next sts, k, add a stitch in the next sts, k 26 = 57 sts

  • 6)      K

  • 7)      K 26, add a stich in the next sts, K 3, add a stitch in the next sts, k 26 = 59 sts

  • 8th)      K

  • 9)     K 26, add a stich in the next sts, K 5, add a stitch in the next sts, k 26 = 61 sts

  • 10)  K

  • 11)  K 26, add a stich in the next sts, K 7, add a stitch in the next sts, k 26 = 63 sts

  • 12)  K

  • 13)  K 26, add a stich in the next sts, K 9, add a stitch in the next sts, k 26 = 65 sts

  • 14)  K

  • 15)  K 26, add a stich in the next sts, K 11, add a stitch in the next sts, k 26 = 67 sts

There are now 67 sts on your needle

  • 16)  K

  • 17)  K

  • 18)  K

  • 19)  K

Knit 38 sts, K2tog, TURN, knit 10, K2tog, TURN. Do this until you have 22 sts on each side of the 11 sts in the middle (you will understand when you have the work on your needles).

Keep on the same way, but now in stockinette stitch (St st). Keep on doing this until you have 15 sts on each side of the 11 sts in the middle.

Knit 5 (or 6) rows in stockinette stitch. On the 5th  or 6th row (depending if you like to do this from the knit or purl row) you make a row of eyelet holes. Easy way to do it – or do how ever you want to do it – K5 – slip the 4th sts over the 5th sts – do this every 5th sts to the end of the row – should make you have 8 holes. On the next row you simply add the stitch over the hole.

Knit 5 rows of stockinette stitch. Change to moss stitch (K1, P1 over P1, K1) – knit 10 rows and cast off.

Sew seams and add a ribbon in the eyelet holes.

NOTE: 10 last then rows can be knitted in different ways. I’ve tried knitting a rib instead of moss stitch and this turns out beautifully.

We went to celebrate my friends new job (and better pay!) with a dinner and movie.

Dinner was just great, but the movie – “Night at the museum”…

Having 10 12-year old boys behind us.. where one of them had seem the movie before and kinda told the rest what was gonna happen.. and another one who kept saying “oh.. tell me when it will be scary!!!” .. that kinda took the fun out of it. My friend and I laughed a lot at all the grown up stuff in the movie.. like “spanking the monkey” ;) If you know what I mean.. :D

It’s a bit annoying.. but we found out this morning that our fridge is broken. The freezer is still working, but that’s not that part I need the most! So – what to do? Well – we went to different stores to compare prices etc.

We kinda knew what we wanted. A side-by-side thingy that we fell in love with a few years back, but we couldn’t find it anywhere.. but the very last store we looked it!

So – to be delivered this coming Wednesday:

No, I’m not getting married – but I can still dream.

I mean – after 13 years I don’t really want a white wedding dress as it would only be me and my hubby. But I found this dress that I’d really like – and these flowers *sigh* Dreams do come alive – right?
