If you think it’s been a bit quiet here for a while – you’re right – it was. THe truth is that I’ve been busy making a travel blog for our trip to the US (leaving this coming Sunday). So – for the next month I (we) will be writing there and adding pics from our trip to California and Florida. Will be back as normal (as can be) Oct 20th. Feel free to send us a greeting or write comments (and recommandations as where we should go – visit).

På jobben har vi en del hardbarka VIF fans og noen pappagutter fra overmøblerte hjem som heier på LYN.

Dette fant VIF fansen på skapet ved plassene sine – og dere kan jo se deres svar :)

Here are the top nine comments made by NBC sports commentators so far during the Summer Olympics that they would like to take back:

1. Weightlifting commentator: ‘This is Gregoriava from Bulgaria . I saw her snatch this morning during her warm up and it was amazing.’

2. Dressage commentator: ‘This is really a lovely horse and I speak from personal experience since I once mounted her mother.’

3. Paul Hamm, Gymnast: ‘I owe a lot to my parents, especially my mother and father.’

4. Boxing Analyst: ‘Sure there have been injuries and even some deaths in boxing, but none of them really that serious.’

5. Softball announcer: ‘If history repeats itself, I should think we can expect the same thing again.’

6. Basketball analyst: ‘He dribbles a lot and the opposition doesn’t like it. In fact you can see it all over their faces.’

7. At the rowing medal ceremony: ‘Ah, isn’t that nice, the wife of the IOC president is hugging the cox of the British crew.’

8. Soccer commentator: ‘Julian Dicks is everywhere. It’s like they’ve got eleven Dicks on the field.’

9. Tennis commentator: ‘One of the reasons Andy is playing so well is that, before the final round, his wife takes out his balls and kisses them…Oh my God, what have I just said?

My dad gave us this new camera for our trip. It’s a bit to learn before we leave next Sunday so I guess we’ll have a fun week of trying out the camera and pack our stuff (made a list so we hope we wont forget anything.. oh – you have shops in the US as well!? :P )

The new camera is a Nikon D60. It fits perfect in my hand – a bit too small for my hubby, but since we’re both only amateurs when it comes to photographing it’s not a big deal.

I’ve been fooling around taking some pics of the last summer flowers. I really love this camera except for the lens. We’ll look into buying a larger lens (size DOES matter) when we come to San Francisco.

fun stuff, general life stuff No Comments »

At work we order food and have a local food chain deliver the groceries to us. The usual order is bread – juice – milk – cheese – eggs – ham – stuff you might eat for lunch, but today they’d added chocolate – 600 small chocolate bars! No one had ordered them, but they were on the invoice (care to explain that!?). Anyway – I found it a bit funny and just had to take a picture of it :D
