We’ve spent most of the afternoon in the garden – doing gardening stuff like mowing the grass and removing dead plants and harvesting the beans (I’m not sure why I plant beans cause after asparagus that’s the vegetable I like the least!).

I did a fun thing as well. I cut the flax and made 6 bouquets. 4 are hanging in the garage and 2 are down in the basement. I’ve forgotten all about what and when to do stuff with flax, but if it all fails – atleast it looks pretty!

Hi there! I’m sorry if you think I’ve left you, but even though we’re having a holiday it’s been a very busy week. You’ll have to read back to see what I’ve done. My parents kitchen is coming together very nicely and I’ll show you a picture when it’s all finished.

It’s been a grey and rainy day today, but it’s nice to sleep in when you don’t have to go work. Today I’ve been baking – see pictures below. If you wonder what the fill is I can tell you it’s black berries and apples – both from the garden.

We also had a visit from about 100 birds who were eating the last of the cherries in the trees. They were so cute that we didn’t wanna scare them away so we left them have a feast :)

Have a great weekend! Fingers crossed for a lottery winning tommorow!

This evening my mom and I had a walk with the historical society where we live. Even though I’ve lived here all my life I don’t really know much about the story about the part of the city where we live. We started the evening where the nuns now live – earlier Vestre Grefsen gård (Western Grefsen Farm). As you can see from the picture below there were quite a lot of ppl. taking part in the walk – I think we counted about 75!
From here we went to Østre Grefsen Gård (Eastern Grefsen Farm) where one of the living relatives – Frøydis – told us a bit about the story. Then we walked past our house (we even stopped outside!) to the last farm – Disen Gård (Disen Farm). My mom can remember this being a large farm with cows and horses. Sadly this is now all gone and all that is left if the main building and a granary. Thanks the Finn Geiran for being our guide – his stories made this walk a through walk in history!

I’m starting a 5 weeks vecation today. We don’t have any major plans except for Denmark and northern parts of Norway, so I guess you’ll see me here from time to time.

Hanne and I are celebrating her birthday today – at Fridays! We usually have a great deal of fun over drinks and good food. We’re ending the evening at the movies.

I wish you all a great weekend and leave you with Donkeyboy – Ambitions!

I’ve been a bit busy and left my blog dead for a few days – so sorry to everyone out there!

Last weekend was spent working on the IKEA kitchen and yesterday my dad and other half went to get some new parts (2 parts were destroyd in the transport from Sweden… ). I hope to see the end of the kitchen this week and I think my mom is even more eager to get it finished. Having had dinner with us for a few times and cooking on a camping stove you can imagine for yourself ;)

On the needles you’ll find a 2nd Selbu Modern. I quite like to knit with more than one color, but the plan was to knit something totally different – that will have to wait. As for most ppl. I with the day had atleast 48 hrs, but I guess I could always dream about knitting as well.

Add to all that stuff I even find time to do some reading. At the moment I’m reading “The Tenko club”. I’m not sure if I like it yet, but I’m only half way so we’ll see :)
