Winter in Norway can be long and dark. It’s dark when you go to work – and it’s dark when you leave work. You can see the sun through the window, but rarely experience it unless you go outside during the day. Since winter solstice the days are already getting longer and it’s light when I go to work before 7 am!

It’s been quite a pretty day – too bad I had to spend it inside!

We haven’t had much snow this year and I’m not complaining! The pictures are of our house – the police horses are taken from my window at work showing parts of Aker Brygge in the backgroun. The car crash as taken at Storo while waiting for the bus. The driver the small car someone managed to get in front of the truck – it was really a minor accident, but the driver was SO mad and stopped all traffic (even trams and busses)!

I made leg warmers for christmas for two of my co-workers! I finally got to give the 2nd pair away today!

They’re easy to make. The original pattern is HERE. I knitted these in PT 5 sport – 3.5 mm circular needle and cast on 60 sts. I used about 2 skeins for 1 leg.

Since I took two days off for my bday, this is what waited me at work! Don’t I have the best co-workers ever!!

Yes, it’s the big 40! I got over 100 bday wishes on Facebook and text messages! I got money and flowers and cards and gift cards!
