Fashion image – then and now

There’s a lot of talk about skinny models, but was it that different before? I came across the old photo of my granny’s aunt (2nd from the left) who’s written home to her sister – the card says:

Hoping to hear from you soon – it’s been a long time since you wrote me – and btw – don’t you think Stine looks so skinny!

I don’t know who Stine is, but I think they all look quite healty and normal! So – the image that you have to be thin is not a new thing – and it’s sad that after 100 year we still have the same screwed ideas that skinny is perfect!
